PERFORMANCE
CALENDAR
Welcome
to our 12th year in providing great folk, acoustic and original
music to the heart of New England. We appreciate your support
that allows this venue to continue. There certainly is a place
for our kinds of music and presentations in the greater Worcester
scheme and scene. I often sit at the sound board and think the
show going on is amazing, live art - and if it didn't happen
here it just would not happen at all, to everyone's loss! So
keep on coming, and we'll keep trying to make it worthwhile.
My motto is: We must be doing something, right?
November
15, 200 Amy Gallatin and Stillwaters
$15
Amy Gallatin and Stillwaters will perform bluegrass, country
and country swing with outstanding vocals and instrumental accompaniment.
Amy's Montana voice - though often compared to Alison Krause
and others - is truly her own, rich and fully developed through
the years of professionally singing since she was a child. Her
band will feature two of the most outstanding, virtuoso bluegrass
pickers in the country: Roger Williams on Dobro (resophonic
guitar) and Dave Dick on banjo. The two have worked together
often in the past, and they certainly compliment each other's
expertise. This will be a great show to watch and hear!
November
22, 2008 TELLABRATION

towards books for children at the Wetzel Diagnostic Center.
Listeners will hear humorous tales, songs, folklore, stories
and poems that touch the heart. Worcester TELLABRATION 2008!
promises to be an evening that will enrich our souls and enliven
our spirits while raising money for a good cause.

$15
(The Master Minstrel with his unparalleled holiday
show)
Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Harvey Reid has honed his
craft over the last 33 years in countless clubs, festivals, streetcorners,
cafes, schools and concert halls across the nation. He has been
called a "giant of the steel strings" and "one
of the true treaures of American acoustic music." He has
absorbed a vast repertoire of American contemporary and roots
music and woven it into his own colorful, personal and distinctive
style. His 20 recordings on Woodpecker Records showcase his mastery
of many instruments and styles of acoustic music, from hip folk
to slashing slide guitar blues to bluegrass, old-time, Celtic,
ragtime, and even classical.
