In February 1988, our congregation
adopted an Open and Affirming (ONA) resolution which says, in
part “…we welcome gay, lesbian, and bisexual members
to participate fully in the life, leadership and employment of
this church.” We are now one of more than 424 United Church
of Christ congregations which have made such a public declaration.
Our ONA commitment is one aspect of our belief that God's love,
Christ's church, and the Spirit's power are for everyone! We are
a faith community which is challenged and enriched by the presence
and gifts of people of various ages, colors, ethnic backgrounds,
genders, sexual orientations, and abilities. Thanks be to God
who has created each of us and called all of us together in Christ!
