The Wider Church Covanent Ministry is responsible for these programs.
	The tradi tion of providing Thanksgiving baskets to the needy by United is actually 75 years old, and was first started at Central Church, where we are housed today. This year we provided 215 turkey baskets to families in Worcester.
	The Wider Church Covenant Ministry has chosen the following local organizations as recipients of financial support from United Congregational: · AIDS Project Worcester · Safe Homes of Central MA (Part of Bridge of Central MA) · Worcester Pastoral Counseling Center · WAMS (Worcester Area Mission Society) · Greater Worcester Interfaith Hospitality Network · Worcester Artist Group · WCFB (Worcester County Food Bank)
	In addition, the money raised by members of United who participated in this year's CROP walk was matched by the Wider Church Covenant Ministry and money has been given to the Deacon's Fund for those seeking financial assistance from the church.
